About Us

Orissa Foundation wish to see a society where inclusion and equity is key principle for coexistence and where all are self conscious and self sufficient to meet their minimum needs, be honest to enrich their lives through eco-friendly and sustainable activities.

Our mission is to build self capacities of vulnerable farmers, youth and women primarily in Orissa to improve their livelihood, health, education and entrepreneurship skills to achieve all-round self sufficiency. Self Capacities of the target population (farmers, youth and women) shall be built adopting following broad strategies like

  • Promoting education, entrepreneurship and capacity building for effective use of human resources for holistic socio-economic development in association public and private institutions and individuals.

  • Helping and promoting institutions and organizations for efficient management of resources and other social development activities.

  • Carrying out initiatives to make the society aware and act for the respect (mostly for social dignity of the poor and vulnerable) and to pursue nature-friendly actions, and to inculcate the urge and skill for disaster preparedness and emergency action
